Training

  • Basic training of puppies & young dogs
  • Work with dogs with fears & insecurities

Hi, I'm Alex and the founder of Cookie & Friends. I have been working as a dog walker for 13 years. Since I have always been very interested in working with dogs and their nature, I decided in 2019 to make this fascination the second pillar of Cookie & Friends. After successfully passing the exam, I am allowed to call myself a dog trainer, with permission according to paragraph 11, since 2019.

You never stop learning, which is why I constantly attend seminars to keep up to date with the latest findings in dog psychology and behavior. He who practices early becomes a master - as I find it very important to establish clear structures right from the start, my focus is on training puppies and young dogs. In this way, together we create the best conditions for a long and harmonious relationship between dog and human.

  • Training & development of basic cues for all age groups & Multi-dog households
  • Working with anxious & insecure dogs & rescued dogs

Hi, I’m Martina. Since 2020, I’ve been working full-time with dogs – as a dog walker, dog trainer, and canine behavior consultant (licensed under §11 of the German Animal Welfare Act). I bring a wealth of expertise, years of experience, and a whole lot of heart.

I love teaching dogs new things, encouraging and challenging them, analyzing their behavior, and most of all, seeing them happy. I work with all dogs – no matter their age or breed. I have two female dogs of my own who make me laugh every day, challenge me, and have already taught me so much.

Inspired by my rescue dog Yuki, who initially struggled with many fears, I’ve delved deeply into the topics of fear, anxiety, and insecurity in dogs – and have been able to help many others in similar situations.

When I work with you and your dog, I first take the time to get to know you both. I observe how you interact and identify where we can begin to make your daily life easier and more relaxed. Then we start training together – professional, modern, and full of joy for both you and your dog.

DATE
We make an appointment for the initial meeting.
LET'S GO
After the Initial meeting we plan our future training steps.

Initial meeting | 90min | 140€

You want to work on your dog-human relationship? Then we should first get to know each other better during an initial meeting. There you will learn more about me and my training concept. Together we can then discuss the further procedure and training. Every person and every dog is unique, so we will find an individual solution for you. If the chemistry between us is right, nothing stands in the way of training.

The first appointment lasts 90 min & takes place at your home, in familiar surroundings. The appointment includes the following parts:

1
30 min
Get to know each other & answer questionnaire
During the interview, we will go through a questionnaire to get initial information about your dog, his habits and your routines.
2
30 min
Walking together & understanding behavior
A short walk together gives us the opportunity to look at and understand the behavior of dog and owner.
3
30 min
First homework, evaluation & QA
You will receive homework to train the desired behavior and further steps will be planned together.

Individual training | 60min | 85€

He barks, bites, chases, chews and not you walk with him, but your dog with you? Don't worry, with the right training we will make you and your dog a dream team again. In individual training, I calmly address your problems. Ideally, we start the training in a familiar environment, because then the dog shows familiar behaviors, which are very important for my assessment. All further appointments we arrange individually.

Video coaching | Online

1 Euro/minute | Minimum booking time: 45 min

Dog training doesn't always have to take place at the dog park. Video coaching gives us the opportunity to give you remote training tips and help you with dog training problems. With video analysis and in-depth conversations, we can assess your dog's behavior and develop a concrete training plan. Not for all problems online coaching makes sense but some possible topics are: the setup for staying alone, meaningful activities for the dog, dog in the office and others.

Advice before buying a dog | Online

1 Euro/minute | Minimum booking time: 45 min

We are happy to advise you even before the acquisition of the new family member. Because if a dog is purchased to suit the circumstances, many problems can not arise in the first place.
